Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Begia served in the United States Army as Assistant Clinic Director for the Family Care Clinic at Brooks Army Medical Center. Dr. Begia provides the full spectrum of family medicine from pediatrics to geriatrics with special interests in hypertension, diabetes management, preventive medicine for men and women and occupational medicine. Dr. Begia is a leader in the health care system in San Antonio and has had major involvement in the development of health care products with local and worldwide companies. Dr. Begia is considered by many colleagues and companies to be a visionary regarding medicine and medical management.
Dr. Begia offers specialized talents in physician leadership, medical directorship, as well as Medical Review Officer (MRO) services.
